After we were awarded the contract to create data hall ceilings, office drywall and fit-out ceilings for this project, we quickly identified that the original build for the data halls could benefit from a change of thinking.

The original idea was to install unistrut framing under a standard, mineral fibre suspended ceiling. This would have used a load-bearing ceiling that the mechanical and electrical trade teams could hang equipment from.

After we were asked to create an alternative solution, we designed a hybrid system that delivered the load bearing capabilities whilst using the originally specified mineral-fibre infill units.

After we were tasked with creating an alternative solution, we created a hybrid ceiling system that met all of the project needs and delivered a high quality result.

This was a real win for the project. It meant programming issues were more easily solved and that overall quality was raised.

Integra is very proud of the approach taken by our designers and all of the team members who delivered this exceptional project.
