Integra was successfully awarded the project of removing and replacing existing ceiling and cladding at Heathrow’s Terminal 5. This was done before we installed a fully bespoke ceiling and bulkhead panels, preparing the area for the installation of a brand new escalator.
We designed, fabricated and installed new bulkhead and raft panels, as well as co-ordinating with the installers of new linear lighting and ventilation. Working from specialist scaffolding, the project was on a tight deadline. It had to be ready in time for its official opening and the influx of passengers.
We took down existing components and took them off-site, where they were cleaned and reinstated upon completion of the works.
Overall, the project is a great example of where new meets old – yet our work looks as though it was originally built that way.
