When a client appoints an architect to design ceilings or drywall, we work with them to transform those designs into workable proposals. We look closely at their feasibility and buildability, using our knowledge and experience to find solutions to complex design challenges.
At this stage, we also advise on the best products to incorporate within each element of the design. By the end of this process, the architect can give the client practical designs to be used as the basis for a tender document.
When major projects are put out to tender, Integra looks for major or complex design briefs that best match our skills and experience. We engage fully with each tender process, bringing fresh ideas and concepts to the proposals – even to the extent of creating prototypes to test out novel concepts.
When appointed to a project, our design team engages with the client's architects to produce the full working drawings needed for design and manufacture. We'll tweak designs to make sure they can be achieved, ensure there are no gaps and recommend products that will achieve the best results. We also advise on the best materials to use, ensuring that projects are compliant with BREEAM and other schemes as required.
We have large, well-trained and experienced teams of ceiling and drywall fitters who install projects to specification. We install the majority of the structure needed before electrical and mechanical engineers integrate their systems. We then add the finishing touches before a comprehensive snag check, final clean and handing over the project to the client. We also provide detailed drawings with exact details of all components and any changes agreed to the original design. We often undertake projects in tandem – for example, by installing ceiling systems alongside drywalls – but our meticulous processes are the same.
