During the 12-month pre-construction period, Integra’s design team worked in collaboration with AHMM and ISG to develop the innovate initial design intent. As part of this process, we integrated products from manufacturers not commonly used within the industry. We created a number of full-scale mock-ups and prototypes to manage the tolerances and compatibility of each individual product that we integrated into the systems.
Integra’s innovative design allowed all ceiling components to be delivered to the site in kit form, thus decreasing on-site cutting, waste and transport – and reducing the project’s environmental impact. The project had a strong environmental ethos and our innovations received particular praise from the client.
This flagship project had a strong environmental ethos and our painstaking work was nominated for the coveted Suspended Ceilings Award at the AIS Awards – which it went on to win.
Areas of our work that received particular accolade included the perforated brass ceiling system for the level 8 coffee bar, the coffered ceilings in circulation spaces, a stainless-steel servery ceiling and the perforated birch wood ceilings for the dining areas.
The project was delivered within time and exceeded the levels of quality expected. It was also nominated for the coveted Suspended Ceilings Award at the annual AIS Awards, which it went on to win – highlighting both the quality of our work and our delivery.
